What is Diversional Therapy?

Diversional therapy is a client centred practice that involves the development and implementation of leisure and lifestyle programs.

Activities are planned through the assessment of client’s preferences, interests, abilities and life objectives. Programs can be modified to ensure participation of all individuals.

Diversional Therapists reduce barriers to client’s participation by providing opportunities that promote self-esteem. Our emphasis is on holistic care and our programs encompass movement, cognitive, social, and spiritual elements.

We work in a range of settings that include rehabilitation & hospital units, community centres, day and respite centres, aged care and residential facilities, ethnic specific services, palliative care units, outreach programs, mental health services, private practice, specialist organisations, consultancy and management.
